If a freshman is going to play immediately for UNLV, I would first look at the defensive line. The Rebels need size, rotation depth and tackles made before a runner gets into the secondary. Poe Purcell, Bryce Waters and Prin Fox arrive with a chance to earn those jobs.
The receiver discussion includes Jesse Harden, Tatum Bell Jr., Vincent Carner and Peyton Zachary. They enter a crowded group with different possible contributions, from red-zone size and slot versatility to special teams and downfield gains.
I would be more cautious about an immediate role for offensive lineman Mateo Bilaver. A receiver can earn a handful of plays or a job covering kicks; Bilaver has to sustain college blocking assignments against older defenders.
