The Scarlet Standard Community is the reader side of our UNLV sports coverage. It is where football and basketball fans can find the recurring ways to participate in the publication instead of hunting through retired message-board pages or disconnected WordPress features.
Old Scarlet Standard forum URLs now lead here because the underlying forum software has been retired. We are not recreating an abandoned discussion board or pretending a comment box is a community product. The goal is a cleaner destination built around the things readers actually use: the Thursday Fan Mailbag, Pick ’Em, game-day coverage, newsletters and the publication’s active social channels.
During football season, this page also serves readers arriving from searches for a UNLV football forum or UNLV message board. The destination is intentionally different from the old forum: reporting remains edited and bylined, while participation happens through the products below and the public channels the newsroom actively maintains.
